1. Jane Eyre: Oh the angst, the dark mystery, the tortured romance!
2. Sherlock Holmes/Seregil: Kings of all God Damn Know-It-Alls. To know so much, observe so sharply, and put it together logically.
3. Bertie Wooster: To be so rich, carefree, and well meaning, with a stalwart Jeeves at my elbow at all times to untangle the messes I make and remove all obstacles. And to hang out at the Drones Club, and the Mottled Oyster. And live in lovely flats. And travel by roadster and ocean liner, and drink champagne in jazz clubs and . . . Is there a female equivalent?
4. Jeeves: to be that brilliant, and as the caretaker of such a lovable fluff brain as Bertie to enjoy all the perks of wealth as a side benefit. And to raise disapproval to a subtle art. To be able to silently "glimmer" in and out of rooms as needed.
